THE ORIGIN

BUILT BY THE PEOPLE WHO STOOD IN THE FIELD.

We didn't want to put our name on someone else's tequila. We wanted to understand every brick in the oven, every row in the field. That took four years. It was worth it.

Two US Air Force veterans. A decision to learn instead of license. Years of walking fields, building relationships with jimadores, and understanding the land. Sandstorm exists because we refused to take the shortcut.

2018

Two Air Force veterans begin walking agave fields in the Los Altos highlands — not as tourists, but as students.

2020

After two years studying jimadores and maestros, they commit to owning every step. No NOM licensing. No shortcuts.

2022

First brick-horno batch produced. Brick-by-brick. Steam-by-steam. The product dictates the brand, not the other way.

2023

Sandstorm launches. No celebrity. No press release. Just a bottle that tastes like someone cared.

Agave

Blue Weber agave grown for 7–10 years in the Los Altos highlands of Jalisco. Our jimadores hand-select each piña at peak ripeness — no shortcuts, no young plants.

Brick-Horno Production

Piñas slow-roasted in traditional brick ovens for 36–48 hours. Steam, not autoclave. Time, not efficiency. The oven is the difference between tequila with character and tequila without one.
